Smithsburg Girls Mid-Maryland Varsity opened the game with an impressive 32-point run. This early surge gave them a significant lead and put South Hagerstown on the back foot from the beginning. Camryn G. led the charge for Smithsburg, scoring 13 points and setting an example for her teammates. Vivian M and Jazmine T also made major contributions, adding 11 and 10 points respectively. Their combined efforts, along with multiple additional point contributors helped maintain the team’s lead, controlled the pace of the game, and maintained pressure which prevented the Lady Huskies from mounting a comeback.

While Smithsburg dominated, Varsity Lady Huskies had some bright spots. Malaya M. was the standout player for the Lady Huskies, contributing 10 points, including two successful three-pointers. Her ability to score from beyond the arc was a highlight in an otherwise challenging game for South Hagerstown.
