JV Smithsburg 67 Lady Leopards defeat JV Lady Huskies in Thrilling 22-19 Contest

The JV South Hagerstown Lady Huskies faced off against the Smithsburg 67 Lady Leopards in a tightly contested basketball game that kept fans on the edge of their seats. The final score, 22-19, reflected the intensity and determination displayed by both teams throughout the match. Despite a strong start and a late rally, the Lady Huskies fell just short of securing the win in this exciting game.

The game began with the JV Lady Huskies showing impressive energy and focus. They quickly went on an 11-0 run, establishing early dominance on the court. This fast start gave South Hagerstown a solid lead and set the tone for a competitive game. The Lady Huskies’ defense was tight, and their offense moved the ball well, creating scoring opportunities.

Smithsburg’s 67 Lady Leopards responded with resilience. They mounted a strong comeback, scoring 12 unanswered points to take the lead. This shift demonstrated the Leopards’ ability to adjust and fight back under pressure. Despite this, South Hagerstown managed to regain control and led 16-12 going into halftime, showing their ability to maintain composure in a high-stakes environment.

The second half saw both teams battling hard for every point. The Lady Huskies found themselves down by five points at 22-17 but refused to give up but ultimately the JV Lady Huskies couldn't keep up the momentum and fell short to secure the win. 

The JV South Hagerstown Lady Huskies were led in scoring by Ra'dae R and Harmony W. who scored 7 points each. Raiza J scored 4 points, and Avalon M scored 1 but contributed with multiple assists.

The JV Smithsburg 67 Lady Leopards were led by Quinn C with 9 points. Additional scoring was provided by Kenzie P (4 points), Taylor C (4 points), Lucille K (3 points) and Maggie H (2 points).
